Rationale

Our major expenditures during the year are (approximately):

$1,600 on clinicians for summer students and ISSMA events
$800 for our annual banquet and ‘Student Appreciation’ events
$600 for fees for the annual ISSMA events and
$700 for other expenses, including the orchestra open house, concert accompanists, and chharitable donations

Our plans for the future include the continuation of these programs and possibly sponsoring a $500 scholarship for an orchestra student.

NOW, the important information that will affect your family: instead of continuous fundraisers to pay for these events (fundraisers which we know always impact your wallets), we have instituted a fair share fee of $50 (HS/MS) or $80 (6th Grade) per year. This will cover most of the booster expenses and avoid the constant requests for money. We will still continue some of our low-key fundraisers and we will plan fundraisers for students who wish to increase their student account balances. ISSMA Entry Fees and SmartMusic will be covered by the share fee.

SIBLINGS: For siblings (2 students) in orchestra, at total of $75 is due for the year.
