OVERVIEW:
The orchestra is planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL over Fall break
2012 (October 24-28). The purpose of the trip is both educational and recreational. The students will perform
as an orchestra at one of Disney’s performance location. During the trip, these students will get to know each
other better as musicians and will grow as performers. They will also develop strong friendships and have experiences
they will remember for a lifetime. We will fly to and from Orlando and visit all four of the major Disney parks and
Downtown Disney. The trip cost will be between $900 and $1150 and includes all transportation, meals, accommodations,
park tickets, and performance fees.
ELIGIBILITY:
You must meet one of the following descriptions in order to travel with the orchestra: (1) 7th through 12th grade
orchestra student during the 2012-2013 school year (2) parent/guardian of orchestra student as described above, willing to
serve as a chaperone (3) Older sibling or close relative, at least 21 years of age, willing to serve as a chaperone (4) Siblings
of orchestra students under 21 years of age if accompanied by a parent/guardian. All adults MUST have a completed background

DEPOSIT:
A deposit of $100 per traveler is due on February 16th (i.e.
one student and one chaperone would cost $200). Deposits may be made on the website through PayPal or by writing a check
payable to “Highland Orchestra Boosters.” This deposit is being collected to determine if there is a sufficient
number of travelers to continue planning of the trip. The deposit is fully refundable until the end of the mandatory
trip meeting on February 15 or 16. At the end of the meeting, you may request a refund—otherwise your deposit
becomes non-refundable and you are committing to travel with the orchestra to Disney.
