    Please submit a lunch order for each student and director at the link below.  All lunch orders must be submitted by Monday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m. (CST).  Student lunches are $7 and director lunches are complimentary.

    Student and part assignments are complete.  I am happy to report that many students from the northern half of the state are represented (Chesterton, Elkhart, Ft. Wayne, Goshen, Granger, Highland, Merrillville, Muncie, Munster, Portage, South Bend, and Valparaiso).  I am also proud to introduce our guest conductors.  Mr. Doug Elmore from Floyd Central High School will be conducting the Scherzo Orchestra and Dr. Brenda Brenner from Indiana University will conduct the Cantabile Orchestra.  You can read their biographies and find more All-Region Information at www.highlandorchestra.org/allregion.html.  Very soon, you will be contacted regarding lunch orders for you and your students.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.     Dear Orchestra Directors/String Teachers:

    Greetings from Highland, Indiana.  I am contacting you to invite you and your middle school students to participate in the 2010 All-Region Middle School String Festival sponsored by the Indiana String Teachers Association. The date is Nov. 20 and the location is Highland High School in Highland, IN.   The festival will begin on Saturday morning and end with a late afternoon concert. Attached you will find:

    Festival participants must be students of an ASTA member. They must be members of a sixth through eighth grade school string program or, if no school string program is available, they may be recommended by their private instructor. Sixth grade students should be at least in their second year of study.
